STRESS!!!!!!
Or NOT!
Ok, ok, i admit that i am stress and that is the only reason that i'm blogging today. To get away from the notes and books for awhile and present my case of stress and boredom to my dear passengers(which happen to ignore my plea for you guys to take the vote)
So today would be my last post until I get at least 12 total votes!
This is your captain speaking, and I ain't flying this plane till i get those votes. Yer hear me?!!
Come on, how difficult is it to just click and vote? I have already 2 votes and I thank those 2 wonderful ppl for the votes. So till i get those 12 votes, relish this last post which would be just babbling cosed by dementia caused by CVS exams.

*regained control*
I feel much better now. Oh, where was I? Oh yes, bout my blog.
Actually, there's nothing much to blog about. My life sucks, my life is a fucked up life. Nothing interesting happens in my fucked up life. Just EXAMS! and MORE EXAMS! and MORE MORE MORE EXAMS!!! ARGH!!!
Let's see. To relieve that STRESS!!! i have taken to searching for excellent pieces of art, many which i don't know who, and some which my friends have contributed. Mind you, my preception of art is different, yet there are certain good art. Hmm... are you guys surprise that i have such a sentimental side?
I would like to introduce you guys to Thomas Arvid, a Detroit boy with no formal art training who never expected to make fine art a career.
Thomas Arvid has achieved spectacular success and national acclaim with his still-life compositions of wine and the rituals surrounding its consumption. The self-taught artist translates abstract composition and a talent for portraying light and color into sumptuous, super-realistic oil paintings of wine. Atlanta-based Thomas Arvid unites the aesthetics of art and the sensual complexity of fine wine in his large-scale paintings that leave collectors and critics begging for more.
The keyword here is super-realistic oil paintings. How super-realistic...judge for yourself.

Realistic enough? Check more of it out at his website. "Life without art is like dinner without wine. Why bother?" - Ladies and Gentlemen, Thomas Arvid.
And also 2 more artist that appeal to my senses of the wilderness of nature, and Her peaceful side. Check out James Coleman and Roy Tabora.
Roy Gonzalez Tabora, illustrating the world of Hawaiian shores. He paints from observation, from imagination and from his heart, making him a leading artist of Hawaii.
Tabora's art strikes a cord deep within, sending us to a mystical place where our imagination is free to wander amid our fondest memories. Ultimately we arrive at a moment of tranquility. To capture these moments and share them with his viewers--this is the artist's highest aim and this is the true essence of Roy Tabora's unforgettable seascapes.

You have to admit, he's pretty good. Coming from a whole lineage of artists... Roy Tabora. Check more of his art at his website.
And the other artist, James Coleman.

You won't recognise his name, nor his paintings, but you would recognise the animations he drew the background for. Bambi, Winnie the Pooh, The little mermaid, Beauty and the Beast?
James Coleman, a name synonymous with sweeping skies, tropical rain forests, rich deep woods and silent deserts. The images created by this talented man continue to delight all who view them. Coleman works in oil, watercolor, gouache and pastel. His work is impressionistic and luminous. His pieces intrigue the eye and touch the heart. His paintings are warm, inviting and unique.
Don't you just feel calm just looking at those pictures? James Coleman.
I think that's enough to pique your interest, or dull you senses, depending of which category you are in. If i get enough response for the vote, I'll blog about my other side of the spectrum, my delight in paintings of demons and angels, fairies and unicorns.
My current favourite:
And of course computer graphics!! How can i forget computer graphics!!!
For those who are interested in contemporary art, or just bored and nothing better to do, check out Shaffer Fine Art Gallery. Walfrido Gracia, his collections; William deShazo... they are quite good.
Or Garden Path Gallery. Thomas Kinkade is good too. He's a devout Christian. Most of his works are of serenity and he is always praising God in his painting. Like this:
Or this
where he adds a footnote: The Good Shepherd's Cottage is an allegory in paint, an image of the Lord returning to call in His faithful. His house is an utterly comfortable and secure cottage, radiant with light. The air is luminous with sunset; the sound of His voice thrilling as He calls His sheep into a verdant meadow.
So then, Richard has come to invite me for lunch at rooftop, and since i'm hungry, why not just go with him. So here, signing off till the votes come in...with this quote:
Be very careful when you stare into the flame...
For the flame will also stare back at you...

Good Lord!
