Road paved on 7:54 PM |

For Sheena.

Since she posted a huge "UPDATE" on my suggestion box, i was thinking, what the hell, let's just please her, no? So since today only got Cocci's lecture, and i have bout an hour left before I go study, i ask myself, why not?
And the answer to the question is, i find no interesting thing to blog. Life is fucked up boring, and dumb too. But since ppl insist, i'll just blog something, anything that comes to mind.
........
........
Still ........
Someone give me sth to say.

Oh, I'll just blog about what i did since my last update. Lemme see, the most interesting that happened would be... gosh, i know there is something at least remotely exciting, but i don't think it had happened to me yet. As i sit here thinking hard on what to blog, i seem to be coming down with a bloody migrane, syncope coming on soon too, i think(hehehe).
Talking about syncope, today in CG, TJ(ya da man) 'shot' Richard. Richard was saying that he was going to faint with hunger.
Richard: Damn, i hungry lar. Going to faint with hunger. Going to have dyspnea soon.
TJ: That's not dyspnea, I tot dyspnea is breathlessness. Fainting is syncope lar.
So that is one point for TJ and none for Richard.

And talking about 'shot', I came over a website that shows the anatomy of a bullet wound. Bet you guys don't know how an actual bullet wound looks like. For those who plays CS, you would only see a splatter of blood and that's it. A head shot, the head explodes, and "Let's move on, there's a game to finish!" But since i've been reading Stephen King's Dark Tower series, i have come to have an interest in how a gun works. And i found this cool website which shows how what a bullet does on impact.
For example: a 7.62x39 PS Steel Core AK-47 round at 2340 feet per second would give a wound profile like below:

Deep penetration, but only works when given a headshot (duh, AK-47 is a sniper)

Or lagi impressive is the Winchester .30-06 150gr Softpoint at 2923 f/s.

Or maybe a 12ga. 27 pellet, which I find truly, truly amazing. The guy's dead at impact thats for sure.

You guys should check it out, no? It's quite interesting. As you guys would be doctors soon, right? Might be able to see such cases, maybe?

And that brings me to blog about the book I'm reading: Stephen King's The Dark Tower series which is by far, one of the coolest fantasy book i've read. I know that for many ppl, the name Stephen King will turn them off (remember IT the Clown?) or for some the word 'fantasy' is the one that pisses them off(elves with long, blond hair, magic, rings, good looking guys wielding swords...), but the Dark Tower is different.
Spanning over a volume of 7 books, it talks about a gunslinger's quest for the Dark Tower. He is in a world call the Mid-world, but he opens three doors to pull three ppl from the city of New York from different timeline. It is damn funny to see a young lady (a schizophrenia) talk about Frank Sinatra like he was a good friend of hers, young and handsom;, only to be rebuked by another young man(ex-drug addict) who said that Frank Sinatra is old enough to be his grand father, and a boy(dead in one world, alive in another) would say that Frank is dead and gone.
Pretty confusing no? But the Dark Tower is a good read which has an excellent blend of magic(really subtle) and of course guns. There is a cool hero who wields not a sword, but guns, really heavy guns with sandalwood grips. The guns are the coolest part.
I see not with my hand, for he who sees with his hands has forgotten his father's face.
I see with my eyes.
I aim not with my hand, for he who aims with his hands has forgotten his father's face.
I aim with my mind.
I kill not with my gun, for he who kills with his guns has forgotten his father's face.
I kill with my heart.

Is that cool or not? It makes me want to be a gunslinger too. Imagine me wielding two guns and just blowing the head off the lecturers so calmly and cooly. *scream with delight* That is so COOL!!!!

And the Dark Tower series don't end there. S.King wrote many other novels with the Dark Tower as it's foundation. For example the Talisman and its sequel the Black House, Insomnia, Hearts in Atlantis(Low Men in Yellow Coats). For those who have read those books would recognise things like "All things walk along the Beam" and "the Crimson King" and "Its ka", things like that which stems right from the Dark Tower series. And there is also books like The Stand which uses characters from the series. Some people may think that thi is stupid, but i say that it adds to the mystery of the world of Roland, no?

I think one of the highlight of this week was the M2/04 orientation meeting. We had like so many themes from the ppl of m2/03 but only some went unto the finallist board. I am not going to reveal which theme is the one we chose, but i am going to unveil the finallist that we(I) thought were pretty good and would have been an excellent theme for the JUNIORS, after we put in certain necessary modifications.
Novus Ordus Seclorum - this is a real cool one came up by Richard that meant New World Order. A new world where the Juniors will march to our drums and call, the Juniors will be bent to our will and be our slaves, a new order where Seniors reign high and powerful over the scums we call junior.Did i say scums? I meant friends.
Armaggedon - this is also cool, came up by Vasan. Tis totally true as one the juniors enter med school, their life is totally over. Say goodbye to clubbing, say goodbye to Playstation2. A destroyed life. And this orientation is the one where they get to say goodbye and cry farewell...
SNAFU - acronym for Situation Normal, All Fucked Up. Came up by Grace and I say that it would be an excellent theme as it describes us Seniors perfectly. Only trouble is that the other thinks that the authoritians wont agree, but I say, screw them. They don't have to know wat SNAFU means.
FUBR - acronym for Fucked Up Beyond Repair. I came up with this and I say its totally true, at least for me. It is my profile back in my secondary school where i was indeed Fucked Up Beyond Repair.
Master of Puppets - came up by TJ(ya da man) and this really creeps me out. it reminds me of Child Play, the movie where the doll start killing people. Brrr... Scary. But a good theme it is as we the Seniors are the Masters, and the Juniors *shrug* our puppets, their strings are for us to pull and cut at any moments.
Equalis et Unis - came up by Yen Shi which meant Equality and Unity in German. We modified it to INEqualis et Unis which we hopefully meant INEquality and Unity. We are all for the Unity and crap thingy, but we at least want to be higher than the Juniors, no? I mean, we are SENIORS!!!
When Fairy Tales Go Wrong - by Yean Koon(who as an obsession with fairy tales, me think). This one also creeps me out. When Fairy Tales Go Wrong... where teddy bears have sharp fangs and bleeding eyes, killer bunnies that carries knives and bloody and with claws... or a merry-go-round horse that will trample you to death at the sight of you... Silent Hill 3 anyone?
6 Days, 7 Knights - by KahYee, suggesting really medieval times. Kinda like Shrek or something. the 7 Knights were supposed to be the 7 IMCCs, but this is an idea that we can really play around with.
In Horan Viviere - it is by me which meant Live For The Moment. Really cliched and all, no? So we modified it to Live For The Moment, Die After That. Hahaha!! Let the Juniors live through the orientation. They die once they enter the real stuff.
But I still love the one that Sheena and Richard came up with at the mamak.
Junior: We are your people,
Senior: And I am your God.

It's from the Bible, a verse that i forgot from either the Book of Numbers or Deuteronomy. The actual verse goes something like this: You are My people, and I am your God.

As you guys would know (or may not know), I am in charge of Variety Night with Ken Rhee. We begged for helpers and... WOW, M2/03 is just so HELPFUL!!*pretend to be impress* We had only 3 volunteers, which is like pretty sad. Sob, Sob, no one likes me. *goes to a small corner, squat down and cries heart out, turn around, a cheerful grin on the face* Anyway, we asked for Variety Night themes too, and we have some really, really weird themes which i quite forgot. Will tell you guys soon. To my passengers, I *goes on knees* beg you to help out... please... *kiss the floor before your feet* please...

I think you guys would be pretty bored by now. Richard is giving me that look again. CVS just around the corner. Results come out tomorrow. All in all, its all damn pretty fucked up. Just hope don't fail. Anyway I'll just leave you guys at the busstop, with this quote:

Just as you touch the lives of every life form you meet,
so, too will their energy strengthen you.
Fail to live up to your potential
and you will never win...
