Interesting...
The clinical visit today was interesting. The way you define interesting maybe different from me. Interesting is a really versatile adjective(2nd to F**K). It is an adjective that can mean good or bad, depending on what you want to believe it is. It's like when you come to school with a new hairstyle and I tell you that it is "interesting", it may so good that I find it truly interesting, OR it may be SOOOOO BAD that I find it interesting too. Ahh... INTERESTING is a good evasive adjective.
So the clinical visit to day was interesting. We left IMU at 7.30 (I know, I know, its way early for a trip to a Klinik that is only 15 mins away). And it is a good thing we left early as we got lost. And we are not to blame. It is the sisters' fault at CSU. They drew us a map that is like so totally...interesting. For those guys who knows Cheras, you'll understand this better, for those not, just try to follow along.
The map asks us to go down at the ramp at the Cheras turn off, so we did, going off the highway. Then it says 12 o'clock turn at the roundabout and go straight. And that we did, going straight up unto the SAME highway again. Did we appear at somewhere new? And then at the next ramp, it says turn down again and turn a 3 o'clock. Then it says turn at a junction that is between a masjid and Petronas. We passed the masjid, no Petronas. And then there is the Petronas, so we turned, only to end up at an industrial area. But Caryn(our driver) said that someone has told her that it is an uphill road and the road we were on is uphill. So we tot it was correct so we followed the road and got lost. Then we decided to just drive down to that mosque, turning at the mosque and then we saw it... our DESTINATION. We surveyed the area and saw that it was not Petronas but a BP and on the the totally wrong side of the road. And the uphill... it was just a slight hump, with an angle no more than 0.3 degree. Sheesh... ppl in CSU have completely no sense of direction what so eva.
We reached at 8, just as the rest(who took the cab) arrived. So we decided to go breakfast and right in the middle of the busy road, I flipped a coin whether to walk right or left. But Fahzi rather trust her senses than God, so she asked someon who led us to a stall. Then it was into the klinik. 8 of us. Me, ShuJin, Caryn, Fahzi, Farah, Sarah, Hanisyam and Peter. We all crowd around, trying to look like doctors. We were told to gather at the pharmacy and we began to buat kecoh in there. Asking tons of question and stuff.Me find simple pleasure in just sitting in the storage room where there is aircon and just smell the lovely scent of cough syrup.
Then we were chased out and told to go to the treatment room where the sister briefed us. We hooked Peter up on the ECG.And those who knows how the ECG leads are put on, they are held on to the chest by suction leads and we tugged at it ignoring the suction. Poor peter was in pain. So damn funny. And time flew so fast. Other major events are like Sarah opening a Ubat Kilang in the pharmacy with me, Farah and Fahzi. We were putting cream into the small tong that you usually get from the clinics. And we just sat there and talk and gossiped. Then Shu Jin and Caryn came to swap and with them I realised sth. Medical students can't count. We were supposed to count 18 pills and put them in the packet. Caryn and Shuj did the counting, and somehow the pills in the packet numbers 16,17,19,20. Strange huh?
And of cos, any hospital/clinical visit can never be complete without seeing Hanisyam flirting with the nurses. He took medicine from the pharmacy(managed to charm the old lady), asked the nurses to bandage his hands and such. Real funny.
So that's all for the clinical visit which was interesting.
What other interesting event happened today?
Nothing much. Pontenged Galy's lecture to print PBL.And went back for Archiekin's lecture about anti-hypertensive drug. He talked something about SDL, or izzit SLD.Nope, its SDL, supposed to be Self-Dependant Learning. But i'm sure SDL fits better with Stupid, Dumb Lecturer *cower before Archiekin's fans and batchmates who condone insults to lecturers* But it's personal opinion!!!!
And then i was like dozing off with that Archiekin droning and repeating himself when Sheena gave me a sweet. You must be wondering why i would blog about a sweet, so I'll tell you know. The wrapper, I used it as a lastik bullet and shot it at Adeline. But she thinks that I just threw it at her. Hahaha!!! The sound when the bullet reverberated from hitting her, SMACK!! that was just so fulfilling, donno why. Somehow I found joy in doing that. HAHAHAHAHA!!!! *runs away from Adeline* I am a simple girl, I find simple joy in doing simple things!. MWAHAHAHA!!! And Adeline, just for your information, revenge is so sweet that I'll get diabetes if it gets any sweeter. But I don't care! I have a sweet tooth and I'll take the revenge anytime! MWAHAHAHA
Then the next highlight of the day!!! The election of the commitee for Orientation M2/04. Shall I just break the news here... or leave you guys in suspense(for those who haven't know about it). I think I shall just keep the secret as I have other passengers on this bus that are not from our Sem. Hmmm...But it was pretty exciting. Votes and arguments. Rassam and Calvin Jit is the best. Rassam is the Secretary and he just sits there during the meeting and Sheena asked him if he has taken down the minutes. He did not, got scolding from Sheena and demanded that Calvin take down the minutes. So there. A good example of good-using and ab-using the power given to oneself. Gosh, can't wait for Orientation. The Juniors are going DOWN!!!! Way...way...down. *grin sheepishly at Sheena* Oops, forgot that I have to be an example of being not so harsh on juniors.
Oh, and check out our M2/03 circle for Grace's darker side. She introduced the word SNAFU. To find out wat it means, just go over to our circle NOW!
And check out this cool blog of a girl who worked as a porn clerk ie the salesperson at the video shop incharge of the porn section. I couldn't find the one with the med student who worked as a porn clerk but i found that blog instead. It's cool. And check out the list of threads right at the bottom of the page. The donweasel thread is quite cool too.
Ok, now in library and Richard is giving me that look again that says "Come and study NOW!" Grr... got to go now. He said that heaven will fall if I start studying, so I'm going to make heaven fall. Going of to study and leaving you guys with:
It's pretty sad when you think of it.
The sun sets every day, and we know this.
But how often do we take time to ever see it -
and experience its beauty?
Oh, mistakes to correct. You know in my last post, the one with the HP&tPoA review. The new director is not French. He's Spanish. So he's no more FG=Faggot. He's Spanish Guy=SG=Stupid Geek.
