Information
Information gets a new meaning starting yesterday.
According to dictionary.com, Information is defined as knowledge derived from study, experience, or instruction. But due to circumstances, we, on the debate team, found a new definition for it.
It started out innocently, with four of us driving down to Klang for Bah Kut Teh. Three of us being me, Grace, Yee Pei and Vasan in Grace's car. The main reason going to Klang was to get paper for the NHSD, and we decided to just go for dinner then.
Confused?
Let me explained from the begining of the day.
We were having debate training, when Kevin of Sem2 suddenly told me to get the papers as they needed to pack it (which I tot was dumb). So I managed to coerce Grace to lend us her car. Anyhow, we would still be taking her car.
And before we left, we had to find information of certain topics like autism and mad scientists, and of course the all famous Gay Affirmative Therapy. Vasan complained that he had no internet connection, so how to check it out. Hai Liang (cute Sem 1 guy, so damn adorable, just like a little puppy) offered to go up to Big Xiao's hse to use the computer with Vasan.
Talk about Gay Affirmative Therapy.
After the training, we headed down to my hse. Where we waited in hunger for my mom to get back. And when we had everything done, we left for the nearest Bah Kut Teh shop.
So we were having dinner, talking and laughing, me enlightening the ignorant ones about the Chinese cultural art of drinking tea. The thing is that the host have to be the one to prepare the tea and to pour it for the rest. No one else can touch that pot of tea. And leave the cup full if you don't want the host to continuously pour the tea. And at the end of the day, I would say I was a pretty good host.
Hear, hear!!
And on the way home, there was where the INFORMATION came into play.
Elena: So what you guys gonna do when you get back?
YP: Surf the net?
Grace: Haha, I don't have to do anything! (Which we proceeded to bantai her.)
Vasan: I need to go to Siaw's place with Hai Liang.
Girls: Uh-oh.
YP: Gay Affirmative Therapy
Grace: For male to male bonding, eh?
YP: Lee Teng stays below them, hope to do not hear any strange noises.
Elena: Thump, thump, thump.
Grace: Thumping because cannot find information.
Which all burst into laughter except for Grace who is still an innocent girl and possess a mind still clean enough. So she was protesting that she made an innocent comment, and we believed her. Oh yes, we did.
For those who still do not get what we are talking about, its ok. This is what we call a personal joke.
And we went off to Sri Petaling cos Vasan forgot to buy food for CK, and we had another homour round there.
Vasan went to buy the food while Grace made another round. Then I was chosen to go find Vasan.
Elena: Hey, what colour shirt is he wearing?
Grace: (confidently) Black.
So I was searching high and low for a tall Indian guy wearing black shirt. I finally found him, and he was wearing a white shirt. This is how Grace defended herself.
Grace: I am colour blind. I see white things black and black things white.
Elena: Ah, so am I as black as night?
Vasan: And I'm as white as ghost eh?
YP: She wear sunglasses in the day time becos everyone does, but she cannot see anything.
Elena: So the road is white and the sky is black. Interesting information.
And the final humour round on information.
Vasan: So Grace, where's your boyfriend now?
Girls: Huh? They broke up like so long ago???
Vasan: (apologetically) Oh, I'm so sorry. What's his name? Alex?
Elena: Jonny-boy? Jonathan?
Vasan: (apologetically) Oh, I'm so sorry. So you are single now?YP: Why? You want to go after izzit?
Vasan: Haha, I wonder if I can find Grace's information.
A short pause as we tried to digest it.
Vasan: Of course you guys know what this information is, right?
Oooo... Vasan has a naughty side.
And the next day, we asked them;
Elena: Hey Vasan, found information?Vasan: It was tough.
So you guys guessed what INFORMATION is yet?
If not,
1) you guys are either dumb, or
2) we are too dirty-minded, or
3) I am just a bad blogger.
Bet you guys will choose the third option.
Shame!
When you have lost sight of the path, when you have become lost in life,
seek information. Information will surely give you a glimmer of hope. Seek,
or you will not be granted what it is you are looking for. There is no
shame in asking for information.
