Road paved on 3:51 PM |

I just realised...

That I am exactly 21 and three weeks old. And that I have not had my 21st bday party which was supposed to be the most glamourous party in my entire life for me. But... instead, I've celebrated it with my family with a cake and then gotten RM1000 hongbao as a present... wow (sadly). And I did not have friends who wished me save for the super nice BMedSc people, like Linda who waited to wish me, and San San and YK and those I forgot...

And I remembered that I am exactly 21 and THREE WEEKS old, because today happened to be my best friend's birthday, and I am always bragging that I am only THREE WEEKS OLDER than her. Whee... happy birthday, Cass. You are 21 too.

And so now that I am 21, what should I do? I mean, I've gotten my golden key (metaphorically. I did not get a physical one), so I am technically an adult, and that means...
1. Sex
2. Casino
3. No curfew
4. My own credit card
(nvm that I already have 2 supplementary)
5. More sex.
Haha.

Ok... lemme see. Sex is out of the list, I don't really have a curfew at all, I don't need a credit card just yet... so casino! Monte Carlo, Monaco! Here I come!

Maybe I did not go to Monaco, but I went up Genting, which of course meant Casino de Genting. And boy, was it an experience.

First thing that hits you is... hey, there are no children. Super plus point!!!
Then the sounds of ching ching! Yup, the one-eye bandit, also known as the jackpot. Ching ching!
Then the smoke hits you right in the lungs. WTF??? I thought this was non-smoking zone.
But my father (yes, my father took me up to Genting's Casino. Yes, my dad is cool, jealous ah?) led us to the next casino which was the Monte Carlo Casino where there is less smoke. Richard and I walked around looking at people play all kinds of games, and finally settled for the roulette table. Dad gave us RM200 (yes, my dad condones gambling) and another RM200 just in case the first RM200 ran out.

And so it began.

Richard and I paired to play and we worked well because both of our technics were totally different. Richard was all calculative and studying probabilities (he should be an actuary instead of a medic) while I just relax and let the numbers come to me. At first it did not work. Our RM200 was fast dwindling. And then our two last RM5 chip were left. Then the numbers start coming, and we started winning back our RM200.

When we left, we earned RM60, pretty good for a beginner.

We kept our bets at bare minimum, while we watched with fascination at the older people -pap,pap,pap- throw chips like using money as cigarette paper. There was this guy who stepped in, threw a RM100 chip and walked away with RM400. You dare or not?

The same time used for us to win RM60, my dad won RM500. We were dancing happily at our first winnings, my dad was complaining that he usually won more. What the hell?

But it was a first time experience, and my hands are itchy again for the times to place down our last chips again. Woot woot. Can't wait.

Oh.. and I just realised that... I did not get to play ching ching on the jackpot machine. Sigh...

My life is a chip in your pile. Ante up!
