Kuching Trip: Part 4

Monday 4th Day (last day)
Last day was spent rolling in bed before getting up to get breakfast. But since it was already 10am (the latest we ever woke up here), breakfast was choco cake and milo at home. Nothing better than home breakfast, sitting around in nothing but lingerie and talking cock while breaking fast.

Not that we wore lingerie.

And we decided to go to the cultural village lor. Thought we would have missed the cultural show. But instead, they moved the show to 11am, so we made it!! Hoo!

Men trying to imitate the Ibans and Melanaus. I could still remember Jackson from my primary school dressed up like an Iban warrior and doing an Iban dance.

We went around looking at all the different houses of the orang asli people.
This is the penghulu's house. And the first long house I'm about to see.

Me and my lightkeris/lightparang/light-something.

I don't mind having one of this at home.

A chance to kill Grace and say that it was a mistake. Hehe.

We had fun just walking around. And saw Sheena's house!!! Like totally high. If trees grew underneath it, it would have been definitely a tree house. So yes, Sheena's house is a treehouse. Kononnya - according to the plaque in front of the house, the treehouses were built to keep the enemies away. I think it was so that they could play better with their monkeys.

We spent a few hours admiring the houses. They also have the traditional house for Chinese:
Ok, maybe not that glamourous, but still...

We went to Normah Specialist Hospital where Grace's parents worked. Now, you would wonder why is there a PRIVATE specialist hospital named after a malay lady? Same, we were wondering too. And it is one of the first PRIVATE hospital which I know owns a 64-slice CT scan. Chun right?

And her mother recommended us Rom for lunch so after some directions, we were off to find the place. The best we could find was Rom's Orchid Garden, so fed up and hungry, we went to somewhere else to eat before going back home to pack.

The vacation was ending and my heart was filled with dread. Oh woe is me.

BTW: Rom's Orchid Garden is the place to eat. But what do we eat? Manure? Fertilizer? Soil? Orchids?

We hanged around at home, trying to come in terms with the fact that we were going home and leaving Kuching. Sob sob. After dinner with her family for one last time, Grace drove us to the airport.

And there we said our final goodbyes and we were off to go home.

First sight of home:
It's supposed to be twin tower and kl tower.

But just as some things can be right and useless at the same time,
can’t something be wrong...and priceless?
